These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and David Gradinariu ("RepChamp," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the RepChamp mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the website at repchamp.vercel.app (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About RepChamp
RepChamp is a fitness competition app that uses your device camera and on-device AI (MediaPipe) to count push-ups and squats on iOS and Android. The Service includes:
- Solo training and workout tracking
- Real-time multiplayer duels and matchmaking
- AI opponents, leaderboards, badges, and progression (XP/levels)
- Friends, chat, and social features
- A free plan with limited duel energy, plus optional RepChamp Pro subscription features
Some features (such as available sign-in methods, store billing, or device-specific anti-cheat checks) may differ between iOS and Android, as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use RepChamp. If you are between 16 and the age of legal majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration and sign-in
You sign in using Sign in with Apple and/or Google Sign-In, depending on your platform. On iOS, both Apple and Google sign-in may be available. On Android, you sign in with Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple or Google account and for all activity that occurs through your RepChamp account.
3.2 Account accuracy
You agree to provide accurate profile information and to keep it up to date. Your username and profile photo are visible to other users.
3.3 Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Settings → Data Management → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your account and associated personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy (including limited exceptions such as user reports retained for safety). Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active store subscription — you must cancel that separately through Apple or Google Play (see Section 4).
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free plan and RepChamp Pro
RepChamp is a freemium Service. After creating an account, you may use the app on the free plan or subscribe to RepChamp Pro. You can dismiss the subscription offer and continue with free access.
On the free plan, some features are limited. In particular, multiplayer duels use an energy system: free users receive a limited amount of energy that is consumed when starting duels and may refill over time. Certain premium features may also be locked or partially restricted.
RepChamp Pro unlocks premium benefits, which may include unlimited duels (no energy limit), fuller Train access, performance stats, a custom profile photo upload, and other Pro features shown in the app. Exact benefits may change as we update the Service.
If your Pro subscription ends without renewal, your account returns to the free plan. You do not lose your account, but Pro-only features become unavailable until you subscribe again.
4.2 Billing through Apple and Google Play
All payments are processed by the app store on your device platform:
- iOS: payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
- Android: payments are processed by Google through Google Play Billing
We do not collect or store your payment card details. Pricing, currency, and available plans are displayed in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase and may vary by region and platform.
Your purchase is also subject to the applicable store terms: Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions (and App Store policies) on iOS, or Google Play Terms of Service (and related Google Play billing policies) on Android.
4.3 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your platform account settings:
- iOS: Apple ID → Subscriptions, or from Profile → Settings → Manage Subscription in the app
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or from Profile → Settings → Manage Subscription in the app when available
4.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by the store that processed your purchase:
- App Store purchases: contact Apple Support or use Apple's report-a-problem process. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
- Google Play purchases: request a refund through Google Play's refund process or Google Play support. We cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases directly.
4.5 EU/EEA consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law, including Romanian legislation implementing EU consumer directives. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived by contract.
For digital content supplied immediately after purchase (including subscription access), you acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once performance begins, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the applicable Apple or Google Play purchase flow. This does not affect your other consumer rights.
5. Acceptable Use and Community Rules
You agree to use RepChamp lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading usernames or profile photos
- Send spam, scams, or inappropriate messages in chat
- Cheat in duels (e.g. fake reps, exploits, bots, or unauthorized modifications)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
- Interfere with servers, security, or other users' experience
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
5.1 Content moderation
Profile photos are automatically checked for safety using Google Cloud Vision before and after upload. Usernames and chat messages may be filtered for profanity or other prohibited language. We may remove content, issue warnings, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community. Bans may be permanent, and we are not obligated to restore access or provide reasons in every case.
5.2 Effect of suspension or termination
If your account is suspended or terminated for violating these Terms, you may lose access immediately. You may not be entitled to a refund for unused subscription time, except where required by law. Termination of your RepChamp account does not automatically cancel your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription — you must cancel that separately through the store that billed you.
6. Health and Safety Disclaimer
RepChamp is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The Service is intended for general fitness and entertainment purposes only.
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have health conditions, injuries, or concerns
- Exercise carries inherent risks, including injury. You assume all risks associated with your physical activity while using the Service
- Rep counting is automated using AI and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on RepChamp for medical, clinical, or safety-critical measurements
- Stop exercising immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or discomfort
- Ensure you have adequate space and a safe environment when using the camera for workouts
7. Camera and On-Device Processing
RepChamp requires camera access to count reps. Video is processed entirely on your device using on-device AI (including MediaPipe pose tracking) and is not uploaded or recorded on our servers.
To help prevent cheating (for example, faking reps with a photo or screen), the app may also run additional on-device checks during workouts. On iOS, this may include face detection and depth sensing on supported devices (e.g. TrueDepth). On Android, this may include on-device face detection and related anti-spoof analysis. These checks stay on your device; the related camera and depth/face-check data are not uploaded to our servers. If a workout appears to be spoofed, the session may be stopped.
By using the workout features, you consent to this on-device processing. You can revoke camera permission in your device settings (iPhone Settings or Android app permissions), but the core workout features will not function without it.
8. Your Content
8.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including your username, profile photo, and chat messages ("User Content").
8.2 License to us
By submitting User Content, you grant RepChamp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service (e.g. showing your avatar on leaderboards, delivering chat messages, moderating photos). This license ends when your content is deleted, except for reasonable backup copies that are removed on a rolling basis.
8.3 Your responsibility
You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights. You are solely responsible for your User Content.
9. Intellectual Property
RepChamp and its software, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, and content (excluding User Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the iOS and/or Android app for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the Service or any part of it without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data under GDPR and Romanian law. It forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
11. Service Availability and Changes
We strive to keep RepChamp available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we make material changes that significantly reduce core functionality of a paid subscription, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app or by email.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that rep counts will be accurate, that the Service will meet your expectations, or that it will be free from bugs or security vulnerabilities.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those cases, the above exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service
- We are not liable for injuries, health issues, or damages resulting from physical exercise performed while using the Service
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €50 EUR (or equivalent in local currency)
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer protection law in your country.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RepChamp and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account or uninstalling the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
16.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
16.2 Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Iași, Romania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16.3 Informal resolution
Before filing a formal claim, please contact us at repchampapp@gmail.com. We will try to resolve disputes in good faith.
17. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and RepChamp regarding the Service
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- Language: These Terms are written in English. If translated, the English version prevails in case of conflict, to the extent permitted by law
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
